This is very true. I love to add coconut to my conditioner. also a conditioner that has all of this in it is MOP Extreme Moisture. But, when I do mix my own, I use a Queen Helene cholesterol as my base. Never tried it straight up like that.

hey there! i was wondering – how do you do it such that you don’t have bits stuck in your hair later? i spent ages trying to comb out the stuff after applying!
Banana and Avocado should be really ripe and it should be a smooth paste(without any lumps). You can mix it with the help of a hand blender if you don’t get the right consistency. If the mixing is correct there shouldn’t be any problem.
do you apply to wet hair or dry hair? I have never made my own conditioner before however all my friends tell me its amazing and actually mkes your hair soft and it feels a lot healthier even after just one use.
You can use it on dry as well as damp hair(after shampooing).
Would this conditioner be ideal for someone who is trying to grow longer hair?
You can try this recipe for longer hair- http://www.leonsbeautytipsandsecrets.com/2008/04/hibiscus-hair-mask-for-beautiful-hair.html
Rosemary essential oil mixed with coconut oil also helps in hair growth.
