I have been using Sustainable Youth Products for almost a month now and I must tell you this is one of the few anti-aging brands on the market that actually delivers what it promises. I am using their Immune Performance Revitalizing Serum and Immune Performance Elasticity Cream with great success so far .

Active Ingredients used in Sustainable Youth Products

So what makes their products work? What are the active ingredients used in Sustainable Youth Cream and Serum? Their ingredient list looks pretty long, specially the cream and some of you might even get shocked to see alcohol as the 1st and 3rd ingredient on their Revitalizing Serum and Elasticity Cream Labels respectively. But it is below 5% in both the cream and serum. Alcohol in the Serum is 4% and in the Cream is 5%.

The alcohol they use is certified organic alcohol and is derived from fermented sugarcane. I have always reacted badly to alcohol based products but my skin seems to tolerate organic ethanol which is usually found in Lavera and Weleda Products too and Sustainable Youth uses the same type of organic ethanol.

Their active ingredient is called Alasta, I was curious to know what it was so emailed them and this is what they have to say-

Sounds great! But I was not convinced that it could actually start to show the result in the very first week until I started to notice the results.

Their other main ingredients are Organic Green Tea, White Tea, Rooibos Tea and Rice Extracts.

Their cream and serum also contain organic essential oils of Basil, Clove Leaf, Lemon, Lavender, Orange, Bergamot, Fennel, Rosewood, Eucalyptus, Moisturizing Carrier Oils like Jojoba, Coconut, Macadamia, Sweet Almond and soothing extracts like Licorice, Cucumber Fruit etc.

Their products are paraben free.

Do Sustainable Youth Products Work?

This is their claim-

When I first applied their serum, it absorbed immediately but it felt incomplete as if my skin needed some more hydration so I followed the serum with their Elasticity Cream and it took care of the hydration part. Their cream is not too rich, its pretty light and both the products smell fresh and natural. I could feel the difference almost immediately, my face felt lifted but I thought it was just psychological until I actually started to notice the results. Their serum and cream have worked together well to make my skin firmer and more refined.

Lavera Wild Rose Cleansing Milk

I had been looking for a paraben free organic facial cleanser for my skin type which is normal to dry and finally found one. I was using Stem Organics Cleanser but I was sure there would be some good organic brand I could experiment with so I finally bought Lavera Wild Rose Cleansing Milk. Its much cheaper than Stem Organics Range.

Their Ingredient List looks good, I couldn’t find any harmful chemical or synthetic ingredients. Do not get confused between Sodium Laureth/Lauryl Sulphate and Sodium Cetearyl Sulphate, Sodium Ceateryl Sulphate is a natural emulsifier derived from plant oils that are high in Fatty Acids.

Lavera Wild Rose Cleansing Milk Is Ideal For Dry, Dehydrated and Mature Skin

I bought my cleanser on ebay and it arrived pretty quick along with a free sample of Lavera Wild Rose Daily Moisturizing Cream. I found the cleanser very soothing and gentle, it left my skin feeling hydrated. It has a sweet floral smell which is derived from plant sources,nothing artificial.

After using it for about 2 weeks I can say that it is a good cleanser for people with dry, dehydrated and mature skin. This product is definitely not for people with combination and oily skin because it is a rich cleansing milk.

I also tried out the sample which came along with my order but I wouldn’t use that moisturizer again because it felt too greasy and sticky, may be people with severely dehydrated skin will find it useful.

I bought mine on ebay but there are plenty of sources online where you can buy Lavera Products. The best place to buy Organic Skin Care and Make-up is Love Lula or you can buy it directly from Lavera’s Official Website. Love Lula doesn’t keep Lavera Wild Rose Range but you can find other Lavera products at lesser cost than their actual website. I asked the founder Lula why they didn’t have Lavera Rose Range and she replied to me saying that their customers found Lavera Wild Rose moisturizer to be greasy(I completely agree) so they are not going to add it to their store unless they reformulate it. I bought Lavera Trend Liquid Foundation from them, just excited to try it out. Love Lula is a UK based company but they ship worldwide and the international shipping rate is as low as $5.

Biotique Pineapple Foaming Cleanser

I don’t change my skin care brand very often but these days I am in a mood to experiment with different products. My skin is normal to dry but when it comes to commercial products it reacts pretty badly specially if the product contains harsh chemicals. Last month I tried Biotique’s Pineapple Cleanser, (which is all natural ) but was quite disappointed. Its because I chose a wrong product for my skin type. When I saw Pineapple as a key ingredient I was tempted to try it out thinking that it would be a mild exfoliating wash, but I was wrong. It left my skin feeling very tight ,its because this product’s meant for Oily and acne prone skin and it took me a month to realize it. It did reduce acne breakouts but its too drying for my skin type.

One more thing that I didn’t like about this cleanser was it burnt my eyes, I guess its because of Clove oil. Though it says foaming facial wash, I couldn’t see any foam, it just works like a gel cleanser.

When I received the products ( Skin Venom, Servital Active Defense and some more samples ) I was so excited and I told my hubby about it. His first reaction was “Are you out of your mind? You must be nuts if you think Snake Venom’s gonna make your skin look beautiful. This could be poisonous and may harm your skin.
