Red Wine Lovers are gonna love this recipe. I had written a short post about Red Wine’s Anti-aging properties before, you can read the benefits of drinking red wine here if you have missed it.

Red Wine is rich in Antioxidants that help fight Free Radical Damage, you can reap the benefits by drinking Red Wine(doesn’t mean you have to get sloshed to get that radiant Skin)and  by using it topically.

Here’s a recipe for Glowing Complexion using Red Wine, Green Tea and Cocoa Powder

You will need-

1 Tbsp. Red Wine

1 Tsp. Green Tea Powder

1 Tsp.  Dark Cocoa Powder

If the mixture becomes too thick add some Red Wine to make a smooth paste.  You can add Honey if your skin is dry, I also love to add a few drops of Patchouli Oil to this recipe(Patchouli oil has cell regenerating properties).

Apply this mask to your face avoiding the eye area and rinse off after 20 minutes. Your skin will look Brighter and Healthier:)

Chocolate and Strawberry make a Great Food Combination. When you talk about Valentine’s Day Chocolate and Strawberry are two foods that lovers would not want to ignore. Did you know that Chocolate and Strawberry are Aphro Foods? They are not only good to eat but also help you both connect well.

I am on a diet these days so I don’t snack on Chocolates often but using it as a facial mask is a guilt free pleasure. I often combine chocolate with fresh fruits and essential oils to make it a more powerful Facial Mask.

Chocolate and Strawberry are rich in Antioxidants and can save your skin from free radical damage.

You can simply combine organic dark cocoa with strawberry or any fruit of your choice and essential oils(1-3%) and use it as a mask.
You will need-

1 oz Organic Dark Cocoa Powder

1 Ripe Strawberry(mashed)

One drop Patchouli Essential Oil

1/2 teaspoon Honey

Mix everything together and apply. Rinse off after 20 minutes. Its a renewing facial mask.

Honey and Tea Tree for Acne

Take one teaspoon Honey and mix 2 drops Tea Tree Oil, apply it on your face and rinse off with lukewarm water after 15-20 minutes, followed by a splash of cold water. Doing this twice a week can help reduce acne.

Honey and Olive Oil for Dry skin

Winter is making our skin dry and rough so why not moisturize it with the ingredients that are natural and wonderful. Mix a teaspoon Honey with 1/3rd teaspoon Extra Virgin Olive Oil and apply. rinse off with lukewarm water after 15-20 minutes, followed by a splash of cold water. You can use this recipe everyday to get soft and supple skin.

Honey and Cucumber for Skin Brightening

Cucumber is a wonderful skin brightener, it almost immediately brightens up your skin and give your skin a subtle glow when mixed with honey it makes a soothing, brightening and moisturizing recipe.

Grate a cube of fresh cucumber, squeeze the juice, mix it with half teaspoon honey and apply it on your face. Rinse off after 20 minutes.

Honey and Tomato for Sunburn

You can use this recipe during the summer when sunburn bothers you. Tomato is a cooling  agent and it helps reduce tan, when combined with Honey it makes a wonderful anti-sunburn recipe. Take one tbsp Fresh Tomato Pulp and mix it with one teaspoon honey and apply on sunburn, rinse off after 30 minutes.

Honey and Vitamin E for Scars

Vitamin E and Honey Combination is very good for Scars caused by Acne. Pierce one Vitamin E Gel Caplet and mix it with little bit of honey and apply it on the scars. Rinse off after 2- minutes.

Honey and Aloe Vera for Sensitive Skin

Honey is very soothing and so is Aloe Vera. Mix one tsp Honey with one tsp. Aloe Vera Gel and apply it on your face, it is very cool and soothing, it is good for Rosacea and Eczema prone skin too because it reduces redness and itchiness.

Orange Sugar Facial Scrub

Exfoliation is a very important part of skin care regimen. Exfoliating your skin once or twice a week removes dead skin cells and reveals healthy and glowing skin. So if exfoliation is not a part of your beauty regimen, you better start now. You will love how your skin looks and feels.

You can either buy organic exfoliators with all natural and organic ingredients or make your own at home. Making your own facial scrub is pretty easy.

To make your AHA(Alpha hydroxy acids) facial exfoliator you will need the following ingredients.

2 oz White Sugar

5-6 Drops Sweet Orange Essential Oil

One Tsp. Vegetable Glycerin( optional)

Enough Carrier Oil to make a thick paste.

You can use Virgin Olive Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Jojoba Oil, Sunflower Oil or Apricot Oil.

Mix Orange essential oil with the carrier oil and mix it with sugar to make a thick paste.  You can Mix glycerin with sugar before mixing the sugar with oils( if you are using it), Glycerin  moisturizes your skin  and makes it soft and smooth. Pour it in a glass jar and store.

Add some honey if you wish and apply it on your face and keep it for a minute. Gently scrub your face for a minute and rinse off with warm water, followed by a splash of cold.

Sugar is rich in Alpha hydroxy acids and orange refines and revitalizes your skin giving it a healthy glow.

Green Tea Powder

Green Tea and Chocolate, both are rich in Antioxidants and antioxidants do wonders for our skin by fighting  free radicals that cause damage to our skin. I use Chocolate Facial Mask at least once a week  and I love adding green tea, fruits and essential oils to it.

Green Tea is soothing, healing and it helps clear up acne and fight other signs of aging. Green Tea is a rich source of Catechins(type of Flavonoid Antioxidants) and Chocolate is another rich source of Flavonoids that help slow down the aging process. Green Tea is a wonderful detoxifier when taken internally or applied topically.

Green Tea And Chocolate Antioxidant Facial Mask Recipe

For this Recipe you will need-

1 Tbsp. Green Tea(Matcha Tea) Powder

1 Tbsp. Dark Cocoa Powder

Enough  Honey To Make a thick paste (Preferably Manuka Honey)

Mix green tea powder and cocoa powder with honey and add 2-3 drops essential oils of your choice(optional). Apply liberally on your face, avoiding the eye area and rinse off after 20 minutes.

This Recipe will make your skin softer and smoother, heal acne and regular use will delay the signs of aging.

Note: You can use Green Tea Bag(one bag should be enough for this recipe) if you don’t have powdered Green Tea. All you have  to do is cut the tea bag and use mortar and pestle to make a fine powder.

You haven’t had enough time to pamper your skin because of your busy schedule and you need to look your best today, I have some quick fix beauty tips for you. This recipe will revitalize your skin instantly and will make your skin glow.

Cleanse your face properly and follow with a facial steam-

Boil some water along with some fresh rose petals for about ten minutes. Drape a towel around your head and add 2-3 drops essential oil of your choice(You can use lavender, Rosemary or any oil according to your skin type). 2-3 minutes should be more than enough to unclog pores.

Wait for ten minutes and follow with this facial mask.

Quick Facial Mask For Soft And Glowing Skin

For this recipe you will need-

3 Tbsp. Orange Juice
Some Green Grapes
One Tbsp. Plain Yogurt
One tsp. Honey
One Tbsp. Almond Meal or Oatmeal
One Tsp. Any facial Clay powder(Optional)

You can substitute grapes with berries or even green apple.

Mix everything together and apply it liberally on your face. Rinse off after fifteen minutes and follow with your moisturizer. You will love how your skin looks and feels after using this recipe.
