Sunburn is not only irritating but also responsible for wrinkles and skin cancer. 90% of visible wrinkles are caused by UVB and UVA Rays so think twice before skipping your sunscreen lotion next time.

Here is a simple home remedy that can give you some relief from sunburn and heal it without leaving any sunburn marks.

1 Cucumber
3 Tbsp Aloe Vera Gel
Handful of Calendula/Marigold Flowers(fresh petals)
One Tbsp. Honey
3 Tbsp. Fresh Yogurt

Cut one fresh Cucumber into small cubes and grind it along with Calendula Flowers,Aloe Vera Gel, Fresh Yogurt and Honey to make a smooth paste. Apply liberally on the affected area and rinse off after 20 minutes. You can refrigerate the mixture for up to 3 days.

Aloe Vera, Cucumber and Yogurt have a cooling effect on the skin, Honey has a soothing effect and Calendula/Marigold has soothing and healing properties.

Note: If you are using Dried Calendula/Marigold Flower you have to boil it in a cup of water for about ten minutes and strain it. Use 3 Tbsp. Water with the rest of the ingredients and if the mixture is too watery you can add Almond Meal or Oatmeal.

How about a refreshing face pack to deal with this summer heat? For this recipe you will need only 5 ingredients.

3-4 cubes Cucumber
1 Tbsp Orange Juice
1 Strawberry
1 Tsp Honey
1 Tbsp Fresh Cream(Substitute it with Fresh Yogurt if you have acne prone skin)

Put everything in a blender and make a smooth paste. Apply it on your face and relax for twenty minutes. Rinse off with cold water. Cucumber, Orange and Strawberry are amazing skin freshener, Honey and Fresh Cream moisturize your skin.

5-6 Walnuts
Almond Oil- 1 Teaspoon
Milk
Rose Water

Take 5-6 Walnuts, powder it well, put a little Almond Oil for moisturizing. Add some Milk and Rose Water and make a paste of these ingredients. Spread the paste all over your tanned skin and wash off once it dries. Use this pack every alternate day for 15 days and your skin will get its natural color back.

Home Remedies For Getting Rid of Sunburn

1. Mix honey and Egg White , apply on the tanned area and wash it off after20 minutes.

2. Apply fresh tomato on the tanned area and wash it off after 20 minutes.

3. Apply lemon juice and cucumber juice on the affected area and wash it off after 20 minutes.

4. Aloe Vera gel’s very effective for sunburn. Apply it directly on your skin.

1/2 Cucumber
1 tablespoon Yogurt

Puree Cucumber and Yogurt in a blender, apply it on your face evenly. Leave it on for 15-20 minutes. Rinse off with cold water. Its a refreshing mask specially for summer.
