Making your own Herbal Mouthwash is very easy. There are so many Herbs that you can use in your Homemade Mouthwash Recipe. Here’s a simple recipe that will make your Gums Strong and Healthy. If you are Pregnant you know how common Bleeding Gum is and how annoying it is. You can safely use this recipe (just skip Cinnamon and Myrrh) to prevent Bleeding, Sore Gums.
5 Crushed Cardamom Pods
1 Tbsp. Dried Calendula
1 Tbsp. Dried Peppermint Leaves or 8-10 drops Peppermint Essential Oil
10 Drops Myrrh Extract
1 Cinnamon Stick
(Do not use Myrrh and Cinnamon during Pregnancy)
Boil 2 cups Water with all the above ingredients for about 10 minutes. Strain and let it cool. You can refrigerate this Mouthwash for up to a week. If you are using any Essential Oil add it at the end, do not boil it.
Cloves, Cardamom, Cinnamon, Myrrh, Peppermint all have antiseptic properties. Cardamom and Cinnamon also give your Mouthwash a nice smell. Cloves also help with toothache and Bleeding Gums. Myrrh and Calendula help with canker sores, swelling, bleeding gums, inflamed gums and heal boils and cuts.
