Have you heard of Morning Banana Diet which was developed by one of the pharmacists in Japan? Its becoming so popular that there’s a shortage of Bananas in Japan. Sounds strange? Hmmm… we’ve always heard that Bananas should be avoided specially if you are on a weight loss diet so how come Banana is being considered a weight loss miracle now? And the best part is you have to eat a banana (or as many as you want) with room temperature water for breakfast and you can eat anything you want on lunch, snacks and dinner and still lose weight. Sounds too good to be true?

Does Morning Banana Diet Really Work?

Well, I did some research on the internet and was overwhelmed by the number of positive responses to this latest fad diet. This diet plan is supposed to help you lose 5 to 35 pounds ,perhaps up to 50. Wow you can have your normal meals and still shed some extra pounds. But according to this Diet Plan you can’t have anything after 8pm, you have to go to bed early and exercise is Optional.

This is the most inspiring comment I came across when I did my research on the internet. ” I started yesterday! This morning I was already down one pound.” But losing one pound in one day sounds like a psychological stuff, who knows may be it really works. Its a easy diet plan so I am sure to give it a try.

P.S- Try this diet plan but some sort of exercise is necessary, Diet plays an important role in weight loss but I don’t think anyone can lose weight without exercising. You don’t have to go for a heavy workout, even Dance classes or Pilates should be fine.

    I didn’t even know this was a diet fad, but I’ve been eating a banana in the morning for a few months now, and have definitely noticed a difference! Try it–bananas are good for you anyway, so it can’t hurt!

    Interesting…I recall seeing a blog earlier this week with a celebrity or model having a breakfast of oatmeal with sliced banana in it. I thought it sounded like a good healthy start to the day.

    So, here’s my question. Are you supposed to have only a banana and warm water for breakfast? Or can you combine it with other things, like oatmeal?

    I love bananas…this wouldn’t be a hard diet to follow…

    Hi Elaine, this diet allows you to eat only banana in the morning but you can have as many bananas as you like.

    I have never liked bananas, ever since I was little – but I may TRY to like them, and see how this goes! I’m on a weight-loss program now from my Dr. and I seem to have “Stalled”, so……

    Leon, thank you for the information on the banana diet. I’ll give it a try. I had one this morning but I had it with toast and tea. Tomorrow I will try it on it’s own and drink room temperature water.

  9. Personally, I can’t have bananas. As soon as I have one – I just become dizzy. I don’t know why, I really love the stuff and used to eat a lot of it a child. Sport and exercising on the other hand, is the great way to get back in the shape. Right After starting going to the sport club – once gets “Bigger” , but then slims down a lot. I recommend exercising in combination with a healthy diet.
