Rosacea is one of the common skin conditions which affects mostly Caucasians. Skin becomes red, inflamed and irritated and is allergic to almost every make-up and skin care product. Rosacea affects mainly cheeks, nose and forehead but can be seen around the chest and neck too.

There are some home remedies for Rosacea which help by soothng irritated skin and reducing redness and inflammation.

Natural Home Remedies For Rosacea

Licorice, Honey and Aloe Vera Facial Mask For Rosacea

Mix one tbsp. of Licorice Powder with one tsp. Honey(preferably Manuka Honey) and one tsp. Aloe Vera Gel and apply it on your face. Rinse off after fifteen minutes and follow with green tea or aloe vera based moisturizer.

Licorice is one of the most important herbs used in the treatment of Rosacea because it reduces inflammation and redness and soothes irritated skin. Aloe Vera and Honey are also equally effective in treating Rosacea.

Seabuckthorn Oil is a wonder oil for treating Rosacea. Apply Seabuckthorn Oil mixed with Rosehip Seed Oil on the affected areas before going to bed. (50% Seabuckthorn Oil/50% Rosehip Seed Oil) Applying pure seabuckthorn oil could leave a yellow stain on your skin so its always better to dilute it with Rosehip Seed Oil which is also known for improving Rosacea Condition.

Neem Oil is equally helpful for Rosacea Sufferers. You can mix Neem Oil with Rosehip Seed Oil and apply(30% Neem Oil/70% Rosehip Seed Oil) because Neem oil is pretty strong.

Fenugreek Tea for Rosacea

Fenugreek Tea is also a good home remedy for Rosacea. So try and drink Fenugreek Tea once a day for about fifteen days and see if it helps you.

Chamomile Toner For Rosacea

Chamomile is very soothing on skin and helps improve Rosacea condition. Put some dried Chamomile Flowers in a pot of boiling water(boil it for about ten minutes) , strain and let it cool.
Apply this water with the help of a cottonball.

Rosacea treatments might work like magic for some but some people might not respond to the same remedy so try these remedies and see what works for you and stick to it.

My skin used to be fine until I started over-washing it. Now its extremely dry. There is a patch that I over scrubbed and peeled off the entire top skin – so its red. Will this work on that? Please help as I’ve been trying to get rid of it for the last three days with no results.

Hi, 3 days is not enough to see the results, you need to use it for at least a week and see if it works. As I said the same remedy will not work for everyone, you have to keep experimenting with each of those recipes and stick to the one that works. Have some patience, it will work. Which one did u use?

I didn’t use any of them yet – I was wondering you could help as its not necessarily Rosacea. It’s used overly scrubbed to the extent that most of it is dry and irritated and a patch reveals raw skin. :(

The only thing I hvae is Chamomile Tea and Aloe Vera Juice. I was hoping to try any Neem recepies – but I don’t have any. Even non-natural would be fine at this point.

It could be housewife’s eczema which is the result of excessive use of detergents and other household cleaners. You can apply Neem Oil on the affected area, you can mix some carrier oil like virgin coconut oil or rosehip oil for better result. Did you apply aloe vera juice or chamomile pack? They should help
