Hi, on your oil based makeup remover, as an aromatherapist I would also add 1/4 to 1/2 tsp. of Vitamin E oil. This is non-allergenic and will prevent the oil mixture from going rancid. If you take the vitamin E capsules, you can simply pierce two of them with a sterile needle and squeeze the oil into the makeup remover, or buy the oil in a bottle from the healthfood store. Vitamin E oil is a great moisturizer for scars, stretch marks and other problem skin.
Another thing – always swirl oils to mix, never shake them up. Shaking introduces oxygen to the mix and when oils oxygenate, they go rancid much faster.
Thanks for the post -great blog!
