Nature In The Nude Butter Me Up Body Lotion Review

Nature in the Nude’s “Butter Me Up” is a product I started using two weeks ago, and I am totally impressed with this wonderful body lotion.

Packaging and Size: Plastic squeeze bottle, 8 fl. Ounces

Consistency: Buttery and creamy, non-greasy, off-white color

Smell: Vanilla and honey with honey being the predominant smell with a very faint tinge/smell of milk chocolate (very faint)

Ingredients: Aloe vera juice; certified organic unrefined cocoa butter (always a favorite of mine because of its superior moisturizing capabilities); certified organic unrefined shea butter (another favorite because of it being an excellent moisturizer); certified organic vegetable glycerin; vegetable-derived emulsifying wax; certified organic calendula hydrosol (fabulous moisturizer); certified organic chamomile hydrosol (chamomile is always soothing); certified organic extra virgin coconut oil (another favorite because of smell, texture, and moisturizing effects); certified organic sunflower oil; certified organic extra virgin olive oil (nonpareil moisturizer); certified organic fragrance oils (outstanding combination of fragrance oils in this product); citric acid, vitamin E (another of my favorite natural moisturizers); certified organic rosemary extract; certified organic benzoin resin; certified organic vanilla absolute (beautiful vanilla smell).

Effectiveness:

It is readily absorbed into the skin, leaving no trace of product to be shown on clothing like so many other body lotions. The lotion comes out of the bottle in a ribbon-like effect, which is very pretty and appealing to the eye. During the winter I have extremely dry skin and have had difficulty finding a lotion that is rich enough to alleviate the dryness yet is non-greasy. Butter Me Up is quick to get rid of dry, flaky skin, and it leaves my skin feeling soft and dewy after each application. Another thing about this lotion that I love is the fact that it also works as a moisturizer for my face, so when traveling I only have to pack one bottle of lotion that works for both face and body lotion/moisturizer. When I use Butter Me Up right after a shower is when I am most aware of its amazing moisturizing capabilities; it leaves my skin glowing, smooth and silky and so very soft to the touch. Combine its excellent moisturizing ingredients along with the lovely smell of vanilla and honey and you have a product that I find to be all that its name implies and more. It’s a wonderful product that, after using it, one is thrilled with the results of moisturizing.
