Pomegranate Oil For Mature Skin

Share

Pomegranate Seed Oil is one of my favorite Carrier Oils, there are various reasons why I love this oil. Let me tell you some benefits of Pomegranate Oil.

Pomegranate
Pomegranate

Cold pressed Pomegranate seed oil is derived from the seeds of pomegranate fruit which is extremely rich in rare essential fatty acids called Punicic acids(approximately 65%) and other fatty acids like Linolenic acids, Oleic acids, Palmitic acids and Stearic acids. Pomegranate seed oil is very nutritious and full of antioxidants so I consider this oil to be one of the best natural skin moisturizers. It fades Wrinkles and Fine lines, revitalizes Mature skin, improves Skin Elasticity, improves Skin Tone and gives your skin a healthy glow. A little goes a long way, so just take 2 drops and massage your face every night before going to bed.

Pomegranate Oil For Eczema, Psoriasis and Sunburned Skin

Pomegranate Oil has amazing healing properties(it has ant-inflammatory, anti-microbial and revitalizing properties) and can do wonders for people suffering from Eczema, Psoriasis and Sun damaged skin. It provides quick relief from dry, itchy and irritated skin and repairs sun damaged skin too.

Pomegranate Oil is one of the rare oils so you should be extra careful when buying it, make sure you buy it from a reputed seller who sells pure oils and not from those stores that sell adulterated and cheap oils.

Pomegranate Seed Oil For Healthy Hair

Pomegranate Seed oil is a wonderful oil for hair because it revitalizes dull and dry hair and protects it from environmental pollutants and chemicals . Just mix a few drops of Pomegranate Oil with your regular hair oil and massage. You will love this oil.

I have been curious about pomegranate oil for a while now. Thanks for all the info! The benefits sound wonderful, but I am wondering if it would be too rich for oily skin? It’s so hard to find skincare that fights the effects of aging and yet is not too greasy for my skin.

  2. Leon says:

Hey Sherry, Pomegranate oil is an ideal oil for dry, dehydrated and mature skin but even people with oily skin find it useful because it is easily absorbed by the skin and won’t clog pores.

I was thinking of trying this oil after I’m done with my grapeseed oil. In terms of texture, how does it compare with the grapeseed oil? Lighter, richer or about the same. I find jojoba oil a tad oily for my skin.

  4. Leon says:

Hey Sesame, Pomegranate oil is light in texture but richer than Grapseed oil and it will still not clog your pores. So if you are looking for intense moisturization to soften fine lines and wrinkles, this oil is one of the best oils.

  5. Right you are, Leon! Pomegranate Seed Oil has adaptogenic properties that address a wide variety of skin care needs. This results in a customized solution for a broad range of skin types. (Adaptogens have a normalizing influence on the body and are effective in helping cells adapt to and resist physical, environmental and chemical stressors).

This explains why pomegranate oil can be exceptionally emollient, yet be effective in treating adult onset acne – believe it or not – without over drying the skin. It reduces fine lines and wrinkles caused by sun damage, has superior moisturizing, healing and anti-aging properties and dramatically fades age spots without the pigmentation issues that can arise from using chemical bleaching cosmetics.

Does the pomegrante oil work well with african american skins?

  10. Leon says:

Yes Carolyn, Pomegranate oil works well on all types of skin.

  11. In fact Carolyn, Pomegranate Oil works well with all skins, which is especially good to know in case you have any age spots. Normally these pose a problem for women of color, as traditional chemical bleaches wreak havoc with pigment. Pom oil works naturally to fade them without side effects.

  17. Leon says:

Hi Vivien, Pomegranate oil is pretty light and can be used by anyone regardless of age, gender or skin type. It tightens skin, fades wrinkles and gives your skin a healthy glow.

  18. Vivien says:

Hi, I just bought my pomegranate oil, and would like to know if this is typically applied at night… and if you can use it in the OCM procedure for acne-prone skin.
    Thanks!

  19. Leon says:

    Hi Vivien,

You can use Pomegranate oil in the day or night. Yes, it can be used for OCM.

    Hi Leon,

I’ve been wanting to purchase some type of oil for my face quite awhile..
I have acne-prone, sensitive, oily yet dehydrataed skin… And, I swear anything that touches my face, I get a scar. Haha, I have a lot of scars unfortunately. Currently I’m using the Suki pure faical balancing, which is an oil type moiturizer, but I’m still looking for an oil before the Suki.

So would you recommend jojoba, grapeseed, or pomegrante? Or any other type of oils? (P.S Where I live it is SUPER DRY,long winters, dry summers haha)

  21. Leon says:

    Hi Yoon,

If your skin is so so sensitive and acne prone its better you mix 70% Grapeseed and 30% Pomegranate and apply, it will take care of your skin problems.

  22. SK says:

    Hi Leon
Can Pomegranate Oil be directly applied to the skin?

  23. Leon says:

Yes, it can be used undiluted.
