Orange Sugar Facial Scrub
Exfoliation is a very important part of skin care regimen. Exfoliating your skin once or twice a week removes dead skin cells and reveals healthy and glowing skin. So if exfoliation is not a part of your beauty regimen, you better start now. You will love how your skin looks and feels.
Regular exfoliation can help unclog pores, reduce fine lines and wrinkles, reduce blotchiness and blackheads.
You can either buy organic exfoliators with all natural and organic ingredients or make your own at home. Making your own facial scrub is pretty easy.
To make your AHA(Alpha hydroxy acids) facial exfoliator you will need the following ingredients.
2 oz White Sugar
5-6 Drops Sweet Orange Essential Oil
One Tsp. Vegetable Glycerin( optional)
Enough Carrier Oil to make a thick paste.
You can use Virgin Olive Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Jojoba Oil, Sunflower Oil or Apricot Oil.

Mix Orange essential oil with the carrier oil and mix it with sugar to make a thick paste. You can Mix glycerin with sugar before mixing the sugar with oils( if you are using it), Glycerin moisturizes your skin and makes it soft and smooth. Pour it in a glass jar and store.
Add some honey if you wish and apply it on your face and keep it for a minute. Gently scrub your face for a minute and rinse off with warm water, followed by a splash of cold.
Sugar is rich in Alpha hydroxy acids and orange refines and revitalizes your skin giving it a healthy glow.

Yes, Grapefruit Essential Oil is a great oil for skin if used diluted but try not to use it during the summer(any citrus oils) as they make your skin photosensitive.
