Tea Tree And Green Clay Facial Mask For Oily Skin

Share

Summer’s already here and I understand how people with Oily and Acne Prone Skin must be feeling. If winter’s the dreaded word for people with dry skin, summer’s equally dreadful for people with Oily Skin. Oily skin needs more detoxification during Summer to flush out those unwanted toxins. So eat lots of fresh fruits, vegetables and drink 6-8 glasses of water throughout the day.

Try this Purifying Facial Mask to keep acne, blemishes and excess oil away.

Ingredients:

2 Tbsp French Green Clay Powder
1 Tbsp Honey
1 Tbsp Lemon Juice
2-3 Drops Tea Tree Oil

Note: You can buy Certified Organic Essential and Carrier Oils, Herbs and other DIY Skin Care Ingredients here

Mix these ingredients together to make a smooth paste, apply it on your face and rinse off after 20 minutes.

Green Clay absorbs all the impurities and gives you a perfect detoxification experience, honey and tea tree have anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties and lemon is a natural astringent.
You canuse this facial mask once or twice a week.

    Hello Leon! :)

I’ve tried the recipe and found it’s really refreshing. How long can it be kept for? 3 days?

Once again, thanks alot for maintaining this site so well, which is so helpful! :)

Hey Wen, glad to hear that you liked the recipe:) You can make it whenever you want because clay tends to harden.

hey leon this mask seems great! i never used to have acne and at 21 just started breaking out… im prescribed to retin-a micro but i feel like i also need somethin else… where could i get the green clay powder from? and what is your best exfoliator that wouldnt irritate the face at all? this blog is great thanks so much! :-)

Hi Allie, I know how frustrating it is to deal with acne but some supplements like B Vitamin, Evening Primrose Oil along with natural facial masks really help. Green clay is good for acne, you can skip lemon if you think it might irritate your skin.
